Can you replace just one screen panel in Southwest Florida?

We replace damaged screen panels on pool cages and lanais, rehang and adjust screen doors, and swap out rusted screws and worn door hardware. A single panel is a job worth doing and you do not need a full rescreen to get one fixed.

One panel is a job worth doing

A torn panel does not automatically mean the whole cage needs new screen. Each panel can be removed and replaced without disturbing the surrounding sections when the remaining mesh is still serviceable.

For a panel repair, the frame stays in place and the work is limited to the damaged screen and spline. Sanding and repainting belong to a restoration, not a standard panel replacement.

A screen door that drags or will not latch may need an adjustment, closer, latch or other hardware. We inspect the door before recommending replacement.

When a repair stops being the right answer

A repair makes sense when the surrounding mesh still has useful life. When screen is brittle, faded or failing in several areas, replacing isolated panels can leave the enclosure looking uneven and lead to repeated service calls.

We check the condition of the mesh around the damage, not only the size of the tear. That inspection tells us whether a panel repair, one-side replacement or full rescreen is the better scope.

You will see that recommendation before we quote the work. If one panel is enough, the estimate stays focused on one panel.

How we work

  • Small jobs get done

We replace single panels, not only whole enclosures. A one panel job is worth our time and you will not be told otherwise to get a bigger ticket.

  • Repair before replacement

We inspect the surrounding mesh and quote the smallest scope that addresses the damage.

  • Clean job sites

Old screen, spline and rusted fasteners leave on our truck, not in your grass.

  • Warranted work

Two year workmanship warranty on the repair, same as on anything else we install.

Screen Repair questions

Can you replace just one screen panel?

Yes. Screen goes in as panels and a single one can be cut out and replaced without disturbing the panels either side of it. You do not need a full rescreen to fix one tear, and we would rather do the small job than talk you into a big one.

A whole side blew out in a storm. Does the entire cage need rescreening?

Not usually. If the rest of the screen is still in good condition we replace the side that went and leave the rest alone. What decides it is the state of the screen that survived, not the size of the hole.

Will the new screen match the rest of my cage?

Close, but be realistic about it. New screen next to screen that has had a few years of Florida sun on it will read slightly darker and tighter at first. It settles as it weathers. On a cage where the old screen is badly faded we will say so up front, because that is the case where a full rescreen ends up looking better than a patch.

My screen door will not latch. Is that a repair or a new door?

Most often a repair. A door that drags or will not catch is usually the hardware, the closer or the tension rather than the door itself. We look at it before quoting a replacement.

How soon can you repair a torn screen?

Availability depends on the size of the repair and the current schedule. Call or text with the location and the number of damaged panels, and we will give you the next available time.
